Members Area Now Live: A 10-Year Photobook Journey
Since 2015, I’ve been spending my spare time exploring and sharing photobooks—mainly Japanese photobooks—and later I built my own website. This year, 2025, marks the tenth year of this passion. It isn’t easy to keep a hobby for ten years or more. I’ve spent a decade honing a site to share the things I love. This isn’t my profession, but right now it feels in the best shape it’s ever been, and that makes me happy.
Ten years is more than just time. In a way, I hope these books and my flip-through videos can show their own value. So I’ve organized the videos from books.fofofoto.com into a members area at members-only.fofofoto.com to encourage myself to keep updating. For a very small fee (at least that’s the pricing for now), you can watch all the flip-through videos. And I promise to keep updating for a long, long time—another ten years at least won’t be a problem. This isn’t marketing; it’s a statement of my commitment to what I love. The money will help me explore more deeply; and of course, even if no one subscribes, I’ll still keep doing it.
I’ll also run a small shop at books.fofofoto.com to sell a few things. For now it won’t be like the bookstores you’re used to with a wide range of categories, but I believe the content here won’t let you down.
Regarding some of the videos on YouTube, I’ll take some down, keep some, and continue updating others. For now, there’s no plan to pause.
If you have anything you’d like to say to me, or better suggestions, feel free to email me at fofo@fofofoto.com.
